Joseph G. Howard is the founder of the Law Offices of Joseph G. Howard, P.C. Mr. Howard started his career in Chicago with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in 1987. As an Assistant State’s Attorney he successfully prosecuted a variety of crimes, including murders, armed robberies, sexual assaults and white collar crimes. He also effectively represented the People of the State of Illinois in both the Illinois Appellate Courts and the Supreme Court of Illinois.

Joseph left the State’s Attorney’s Office in 1994 and spent two years with a civil litigation law firm, representing insurance companies in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Tennessee. In 1996, Joseph founded his own law firm (originally named Howard & McIntyre). His outstanding knowledge and expertise in many areas of law, networking contacts, as well as his ability to immediately respond to clients’ needs allows the firm to maintain long-term clients who retain the firm for all their legal needs.

Joseph practices Family Law, Commercial Litigation, and Personal Injury. He also spends significant time in Estate Planning, providing clients with Trusts and Wills, and handles Commercial and Residential Real Estate Transactions.

Joseph Howard has expertise in Business and Contract Law. He has represented clients in business litigation and he also consults on various legal provisions regulating business entities.

Joseph earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1987. He is also a graduate of University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Joseph Howard is a Member of the Chicago Bar Association and has been admitted to the Federal Trial Bar. He is licensed to appear before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United State District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Appellate Courts of Illinois, and the Supreme Court of Illinois.
